Do you ever have those moments when you need to be creative but there always seems to be an excuse? Well not anymore. Check out the cool space Dawn McElroy has created at Indie Studios.

Dawn, creative director, opened Indie Studios in August 2017 along with Misty Hogan, lead creative assistant. Their mission is to promote and inspire the imagination and provide an outlet for individuals and groups to express their creativity.

It’s a great place to socialize or have some private time to create something you’re passionate about. Indie Studios has instructors available to assist you in your projects if needed. Groups are encouraged to have an “art night” as well. Need that girls’ evening with a fun painting project? Maybe you want to make that wreath you found on Pinterest? Bring it on!

Indie Studios is located at Rutherford Street Art Workroom, 118 N. Rutherford St., right around the corner from the Paw. Dawn offers classes and instruction to groups and individuals. They’ve hosted baby showers, birthday parties, bridal showers and groups; the environment is designed to be fun and inspirational, promoting creativity and a space to unwind. Dawn loves to work on community project and host painting days for kids, and there’s also art for sale at Indie Studios.
