Saturday’s festival was a huge hit, y’all. That’s not just us saying that; Mayor Chip Miller agrees. “I thought our first Fall Festival On Main was very successful,” he said. “It was truly a team effort of many hours from our town staff, festival steering committee, our merchants and civic clubs to host such a great event. We learned a lot from this first-time experience and will make adjustments to make next year’s event even bigger and better!” Speaking of the mayor, he’ll lead a “mayor’s walk” today (Wednesday, Oct. 24) from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Mount Gilead Elementary as the 10 Days of Uwharrie Festival continues.
